Summer news round up
Since we have been working with the full team back in the office, we’ve seen lots of developments across the DT team and services.
Here in our good news round-up, we detail the main updates, things keeping us busy, and things for clients to be aware of in the coming months.
New Apprentices
We have recently expanded our team by recruiting three Apprentice Trainees. This comes at a time when Apprenticeships have been highlighted as a key part of the UK’s Covid-19 recovery plans, after six out of ten employers stopped all new apprenticeships when coronavirus took hold in 2020.
At Davies Tracey we have a long history of recruiting apprentices and helping college leavers to enter their chosen careers, and so our Directors are particularly pleased to be able to offer not one, but three, such positions in this important year for businesses on Teesside and indeed across the UK.
New Corporate Charity
Summer also sees the DT team select a new charity as the focus of all corporate fundraising. For 2021-22, we are pleased to have The Headlight Project as our chosen charity. The charity has particular focus in supporting individuals and families who have been affected by suicide, and we look forward to our funds helping with its aims.
Corporate Sponsorship
Further to the above, on finding out that one of our new apprentices, Joseph Bartliff, was a talented footballer, we sponsored his place on the team at Guisborough Town FC. We hope he works hard and plays harder!
DT Payroll going from strength to strength
In Spring, we told our clients about changes to our payroll department, including streamlined processes, additions to the team, and reflecting our improved specialist status with a new website and brand – ‘DT Payroll’.

Our team are always learning and upskilling to make sure our clients get the best possible service. Soon, we’re spending some time internally looking at Research & Development Tax Relief and ways in which we can help clients better understand opportunities in this.

New Software Implementation
We pride ourselves on offering our clients exceptional service and knowledgeable advice at a competitive price.
